Like phosphorescent foxfire glowing in the forest, these gazing globes add nighttime magic to the garden. The globe absorbs sunlight during the day, then begins glowing at dusk for 2 to 4 hours. Hand-painted, so no two are exactly alike!

Comments about Celestial Globes:
I have had the 10" globe for 3 years and it has always glowed right from the start. It is a soft glow that is best right after dark. I have the blue one, perhaps the amount it glows varies by the color.
Comments about Celestial Globes:
It's a pretty blue ball and that's it. It doesn't glow.

Comments about Celestial Globes:
I received this as a gift and was very happy with it during the day but the evening spectacular expected in the evening never occurred. After a few years there was some illuminating on the lower half which I enjoyed. Just as I was getting used to its subtle evening glow my grandson thought it would bounce and wow did it shine in millions of luminescent shards!Even though it doesn't display as described I am replacing it because it was a conversation piece.

Comments about Celestial Globes:
This was bought for a relative celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They, as I, was disappointed to find out that it did not glow some after dark.

Comments about Celestial Globes:
I was under the impression that this globe would do what I expected and it didn't. This is false advertising if you ask my opinion. Would not buy another because I might get something even worse.
Comments about Celestial Globes:
Like several other customers, I was "lured" into ordering this globe by the description and expected this product to add a beautiful glow to my evening garden. It does NOTHING. Very disappointing.

Comments about Celestial Globes:
I was so excited to place my globe in the perfect sunny spot, and very disappointed to learn it does not glow as promised. I intend to return this item.

Comments about Celestial Globes:
The only reason I didn't return it was because it would have been a pain[...]I bought this to glow in the evening where it would be visible from my patio and am obviously very disappointed in this item. We have plenty of sun in OK so that was not the problem.

Comments about Celestial Globes:
Since it only "glows" for 4 hours or so after being charged by full sunshine, it is finished glowing by the time the sun sets and the yard is dark--really, really disappointed! Since it was a gift from my daughter for Mothers Day, I will not be returning it but am unhappy none the less!

I just received a Celestial Globe for my birthday. This really jazzes up my deck! Very beauiful. Wish I had a collection of them..
