Absolutely the best gardening tool I have!!! Took over a year to find a left handed one for my neighbor as a gift for helping me water my 400 seedlings each spring! I have had my weeder for sometime and find it very useful. It digs up unwanted plants with ease. It loosens the soil in the garden to accept rainfall better. Gifted my two daughters with one as they loved mine.

I'd read all of the great reviews about this tool so I chose it over the other handled weeder. Not sure if I love it yet. I wish the handle was smoother...it seems like a splinter waiting to happen. The metal is nice and strong however, I bought this to get out grass/weeds between the cracks in my paver stone patio/walkway and the "hook" seems too big and thick.

My wonderful mother-in law & dear friend were gardening at her church.I asked her how she was weeding so fast and efficiently? The roots were coming out easily and you can cover a large area in no time. Joan handed me her Cape-cod weeder and said try it. I did and I was hooked. The weeds pull out effortlessly.
