Voles, mice, and squirrels have a particular fondness for tender spring flower bulbs. You can discourage these pests from dining on your tulips, hyacinths and crocuses by sprinkling in some all-natural Bulb Insurance when you plant. Made from coarsely-ground oyster shells, Bulb Insurance forms a sharp-edged barrier that burrowing rodents will think twice before crossing. To repel pests and promote brilliant color in one easy step, try Bulb Insurance Plus. It's a mixture of ground oyster shells and all-natural fertilizer that we developed with help from some of the nation's leading bulb suppliers.

I've been using Bulb Insurance for several years now. It really keeps the critters from eating the bulbs. The bulbs last much longer and it' nice that the fertilizer is in the mix. Very easy to use.

Comments about Bulb Insurance:
This saved my bulbs in VA from the squirrels. In WI, I added chicken wire on top as well. It's nice to have both the protection from the rodents and the fertilizer in one application.

Comments about Bulb Insurance:
I spent hours planting spring bulbs in a yard that has squirrels eagerly over-looking my shoulder. I used this product around the bulbs as I planted and also spread over the top of the fresh planting. The next morning some bulbs had been dug up + were laying on the top of the soil -but none had any "teeth" marks on them! I replanted + they have not been touched since. !!! As long as my crazy neighbors insist on feeding these "little rodents", keeping bulbs have been a real issue. I'm so delighted--I think I'll actually have them bloom next spring!!HHOORRRAAAHHHHH!!!!

Comments about Bulb Insurance:
I am hoping for success in raising my tulips. I have rodent problems with tulip bulbs, but I dearly love them. I can't give this a specific rating until I see what happens with my bulbs in the Spring, but I am optimistic that Bulb Insurance will work for me!

Comments about Bulb Insurance:
This product is a snap to use and does double duty. It feeds your bulbs and protects them form being eaten by voles and other critters. Just put it in the bottom of the hole, add bulbs, and refill hole. I usually add a little more just around the bulb. I wouldn't plant bulbs in my yard without it!
