Comments about Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:
Finally the perfect compost pail! It's (a) opaque so you don't have to watch the decomposition, (b) attractive with the brushed stainless steel that matches any kitchen, (c) air-tight with close fitting lid, and (d) UNBREAKABLE so you don't smash it on the shovel in the compost pile.
Don't ever discontinue this product. I'll buy it for all the family.

Comments about Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:
Great compost pail. Large capacity yet lightweight. I had a crockery compost pail, and I constantly feared dropping it on my foot. Lid fits securely keeping fruit flies out. The waste tends to go anaerobic if you leave it too long without emptying. We actually forgot to empty it when we left town on a long weekend, and there were no fruit flies or icky compost pail odor when we came back. Amazing!

Comments about Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:
We had a ceramic pot previously, but dropped it and had to repair several times before throwing away. We cannot break this one when carrying out to the compost bin! I have not had it smell yet, but wish there was a place to put in the filter.

Comments about Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:
After years of using a plastic container, I splurged (for me) and bought this compost bucket. I love the stainless steel look. Years ago, I had the ceramic one with the filters. I like this one so much better. Even though it has no filter, it never smells (although I empty and rinse it pretty regularly), and the handle and light weight make it easy to transport. When it gets spotty, as stainless tends to do, I use a little baking soda on it, rinse it well, and polish it right up.

Comments about Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:
Liked my first one so well that I bought another to give to someone else who was looking for a good compost bucket.
Pros

- Handle Is Sturdy
Cons
Best Uses
- Umm Cat Litter
Comments about Brushed Stainless Steel Compost Pail:
Well, my "best uses" is self explanatory. I needed something attractive, not too large, and enclosed to hold the daily used litter. I line it with a plastic bag and dispose of it when full. Using the plastic bag isn't great environmentally but the 3 gal. degradable bags are too large for the pail and, therefore, too cumbersome to use. Also- previous compost crocks I used in my kitchen were a problem because the handle repeatedly slipped out of it's hole. That was annoying then and not at all good for this purpose.
