I would recommend this to a friend with the caveat that it's for small plants and knick knacks, and not really a plant stand, as I imagined it to be. I have a LOT of large plants. I had just pictured this much bigger. It's very pretty and was easy to put together, but it won't hold much.

Nice stand for smaller plants. I imagined it being taller than it actually is. My mistake for not checking the dimensions! All in all a very nice looking plant stand, good construction, does not look or feel "cheap." I've recommended it to others.

This item 'needs that special something'-QUALITY CONTROL! Some reviewers have said it requires muscle-what it took me was a plyers and rubber mallet to force the misaligned and poorly welded shelves into their supports. And I scratched up the finish in the process. If you buy this piece of Chinese-made stuff, my recommendation is to start assembly with the bottom shelf, not the top shelf. PS-I am usually really good at, and actually enjoy, assembling prefab furniture. I would have returned it, but it IS cute and looks good in my space, despite the scratches from assembly.

I was a little nervous ordering this piece because if I didn't like it I didn't want to pay return shipping. But I really like it. Was pretty easy to assemble (didn't have to ask for help from my husband) and it looks nice in our living room. From the photo I thought the shelves might be larger than they really are. I can only get one plant per shelf. I'm glad I bought it and would do it again.
