This is the first fruitcake I have purchased and I was happy with the taste. I thought it was quite expensive for the size, but at least it was good tasting.

I served this fruitcake while having a holiday glass of wine with friends at my house enjoying my Christmas trees - even the ones that didn't like fruit cake liked this one.
I got this as a Christmas gift for my mom who enjoys fruitcake. She loved it! It is very rich and I couldn't believe how much fruit you could fit into such a little cake! You could tell the ingredients were very fresh, quality ingredients. We were both very pleased.
I like fruit cake but was not crazy about this one. There were too many prunes and not enough candid fruits, but it was full of fruit and nuts. They did not skimp. It caused digestive stress later on probaby from prunes and figs. I was expecting a different flavor but it was not there either, maybe the brand of liquor should be changed.

Each year I order fruitcake for Christmas, and this year my husband decided he really liked this particular fruitcake more than any other one I have ordered.

Cons
Best Uses
- Holiday treat
This is such a rich fruitcake that a touch of whipped cream or Cool Whip provides a nice balance to the full flavor of the fruitcake!
I know there are a lot of jokes about Christmas fruitcake, but I actually LIKE fruitcake. I usually order one from somewhere every Christmas - I've tried Harry & David and a few others, but this is the best one I've found. Its very traditional, dark and rich. The loaf is quite small (hard to tell frm the picture), but then again, you never really eat much at a time. I would have preferred a few more nuts, but still think this fruitcake is excellent.
