I was surprised at how thick the glass is. Looks gorgeous with the sun shining off of it and the birds just love it. Just be sure to hang it so that when it gets windy it will not swing into the tree. I wouldn't want to chance this feeder getting shattered.

This Blue Moon bird feeder is such a welcome addition to our yard! It is really lovely, the crackled blue glass is gorgeous in the sunlight!It also provides a welcome haven for some of our smaller birds that can get bullied out of the larger, flat pan feeders. The Mourning Doves are too fat to fit comfortably on the rims, and the Blue Jays are jealous of a color that rivals their own! This would make a wonderful gift for a hard-to-please person, this and a bag of waste-free seed would give them a satisfying and enjoyable new hobby!

We have a large bird-feeding area. We hung this feeder in a nearby tree. It is a beautiful color and glistens when the sunlight shines thru. Too bad it is not larger...one bird actually hopped into the center of the feeder on top of all the seeds and ate until he was full.
