Purchased this for my mother as a unique bird house to add to her collection. The house is cute, albeit small, but I can't imagine that a bid could actually go inside the house. I do not think that is the intent. The chimney is made of wire and the sunflower seeds that came with it fell right through the holes. No instructions were included in the package on reuse, although that was one reason I bought it. Look for something else.

Our son in law has many bird feeders that he hangs each time he visits his own log cabin in New Hampshire. This will give him one more to hang but they do attract such beautiful birds of all kinds. It was purchased as 'just another Christmas gift' for a wonderful man.
