I bought this for my daughter last year and she was so mesmerized by it. I tied silver charms to some of the birds' necks and other birds had chocolate coins. Each morning a bird would appear behind a door with a gift for her. The charms represented something that my daughter found special that year. This birdhouse has begun a family tradition, and has truly sparked holiday excitement in our daughter. I wish the birds were not so fragile though- she played with them a lot, and broke some of their beaks or tails... The house is of excellent quality. We got a ton of compliments on it.

Very, very nice. It's bigger than I imagined, even though the given dimensions are correct. It's very solid, sturdy, and made to last.

I would give it five stars if the birds were better detailed: differentiated males and females, no duplicates, better relative sizing (the blue jays should be bigger than the chickadees, for instance), and really sharp species coloration. I wouldn't expect that kind of detail from a cheaper product, but this is so nice in so many ways that I'm surprised these final details are lacking.

In any case, having just got it out for its second year in our home, I'm looking forward to seeing it every year.

Saw this last year but ordered too late, sold out. So when I saw it this year I jumped on getting it ordered. [...] I'ts versital as the only Christmas on it is the wreath on the front door. So I plan to keep it out more often.
