I use this in my outdoor fountain to keep it from getting slimy in between cleanings. I wanted something not toxic because lots of birds use the fountain for drinking and bathing. The fountain still needs to be cleaned, especially during the summer months, but these little cleaners keep it from having to be done so frequently

I have tried other bird bath cleaners in the past with no luck and a waste of money. So far these are working great. Only one drawback and that is the bigger birds that come in take the cleaner out of the bath. I find them on the ground. Other than that, these do keep the water clear. I would buy again.

Of environmentally safe substances that diminish bacteria in your birdbath water, these little, easy to use "packages" are the most effective I have found yet. The water does not stay clear for as long as a month as claimed, but for about two weeks. Still, I will continue to use these and would recommend them to others. It's all worth it when you see the birds splash around!

I tried these in my fountains that the robins use as bird baths. I thought thet would keep the green slime away - but they don't. I still have to clean the fountains every couple of weeks.

I only used it once because it was getting to be the end of fall, but it seemed like it made the birdbath cleaner. That's why I gave it 3 stars. I'll use it again in the spring after I wash my birdbath first.

These are working. I have a concrete fountain bowl that I use as a birdbath and these are doing a great job of keeping it free of algae. When I got some, it was because I forgot to change it in very high heat humidity days and even then it cleaned more easily. Will buy these again.

I use the cleaners in my birdbaths, even the aerated ones. It seems to work quite well. I just keep losing them, hence the 'disappear' mention above. Don't know if the birds take them away or some other TX critter. But, oddly, they are there for a couple days and then Gone. Perhaps my very energetic birdbath caretaker hoses them out, but I never find them on the ground. Perhaps I should weight them down. Any suggestions?

I have changed product monthly as recommended but does nothing to inhibit green slime. Still need to drain and scrub birdbath with cleaner. Not worth the money.
