Comments about Biodegradable Weed Mat:
First put the product down about six weeks ago and so far, no weeds. I also did newspaper in another area, and it has some weeds. This is a great product and I have ordered more, but be aware that it is a stiff product and will go down best where you have open space. I will continue to use newspaper where plants are close toghether.

Comments about Biodegradable Weed Mat:
Used this last year for my melon patch and found it very helpful in keeping out weeds and keeping the melons off the soil (but plan to add the cradles this year). I plan to use it elsewhere this year. Caution: anchor it well since there are no plants to hold it early in the season. I like the fact it pretty much disintegrated at the end of the season.

Comments about Biodegradable Weed Mat:
The product is easy to use with the stakes. The best part is that it decomposes. I used the black plastic mesh in the past and it is a pain to remove and dispose of.

Comments about Biodegradable Weed Mat:
This product is very useful with regards to killing weeds and creating a new garden bed by covering it in mulch and compost. The only problem is that if you are using a wheelbarrow, if you are not careful how you dump the product, you rip the paper. I have used over 10 rolls in my yard of which about an acre is gardens and I have very few weeds to contend with.

Comments about Biodegradable Weed Mat:
I purchased this product for the first time last year and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. Having used black landscape fabric for planting tomatoes and peppers in the past, I tried this as I loved the idea of turning it into the soil at the end of the year in lieu of having to deal with the fabric. It surpressed weeds well, it only tore when I actually knelt on it (oops!), and it aided in retaining moisture around the plants. I will definitely be using it again this year!

- Eco-Friendly
- Effective
- Long Lasting
- Organic

Cons

Comments about Biodegradable Weed Mat:
this is the best weed control - beats mulch hands down - weeds do not take root on top of it and grow. Suggest watering it after laying it down - it lies flat and shapes to the ground. Will buy it again next year EARLIER before trying all the other failed approaches!
Pros
- Easy To Use
- Eco-Friendly
- Effective

- Organic
- Safe
Cons
- Can tear if walked on
Best Uses

Comments about Biodegradable Weed Mat:
Great cover, keeps weeds out, moisture in better than grass mulch. Am waiting to see how it does over the summer but so far no mess, no fuss, no weeds!
Pros
- Easy To Use
Cons
- Messy
- Weak susceptible to wind
Best Uses
Comments about Biodegradable Weed Mat:
I covered my 400 sq. ft. vegetable garden with this product following directions carefully, particularly about anchoring. Within 48 hours I tore the whole thing up as the combination of water and wind shredded the paper so badly it was a goner! A total waste of money.
