Pros
- Good coverage
- Roomy
Cons
- Belt loops too small
- Pricey
- Snap closure
- Velcro Back Pocket
Best Uses
It's frustratingly difficult these days to find pants that aren't "low rise". Even "at the waist" styles are too low for me. I was glad to find these pants, they are comfortable and everything is covered when bending. I gave these four stars as I think there is room for improvement. The belt loops are too small and a bit narrow. A button closure would be more secure than the snap. There should be two pockets on the back, not just one, and lose the velcro closure - it sticks too well and makes it difficult to get into the pocket. Also I found the drawstring difficult to adjust - I would put elastic on the sides instead.

I am totally taken aback. I bought these in green and wear them constantly. So, I decided to buy a pair in mushroom. Put them on, went to grocery store, started to work in garden--when i went to squat down to spray a rose bush the front of the crotch RIPPED, and i mean ripped down the entire front of the pants. i mean the fabric ripped. The pants were not remotely tight, it didn't catch on anything and the fabric just ripped. I will send them back whether or not i get the credit. I bought a second green pair too, i will see what happens with these--maybe the cloth batch was bad.
never seen anything like this in any clothing product from any source

I have had these pants for over a month now and feel that I can review them with confidence. First of all, for YEARS I have been looking for comfortable, well-made gardening pants that were LIGHTWEIGHT. I have used jeans and other pants labeled "workpants," but they all were way too heavy and hot to wear. Plus they weren't comfortable when kneeling.
These "Best Buds" pants address those issues. They are lightweight and made of a sturdy material. They tend to run large. I usually wear a 10 or 12 petite. So I first ordered the 12. It was way too large. So I ordered a 10; it fit better though it was still a bit big. I did not like the way the drawstring waist adjusted. After the string was tied, I noticed that the waist bunched up more than I liked. Often the drawstring loosened. I solved my problem by purchasing "cord locks" at my local fabric shop. These are items often used for the cords on some jackets. Once I threaded my drawstring through the cord lock and adjusted the drawstring to fit my waist, the pants fit super and were very very comfortable. I also used cord locks on the larger pair of pants and it made those pants more wearable. I love the pants. Incidentally, the pants work perfectly with the foam knee pads that GS sells.

Pros
- Not too long
- Pockets Hold Lot Of Stuff
Cons
- Baggy Fit In The Front
- Little Baggy N The Front
Best Uses
- Room To Wear Layers
- Working in the woods
The only bad thing is the front seems a bit baggy started with a 14 from the measurements that I took.
Could fit a small child in with me.Ended up with a 10 in the end and still have room to wear shorts or long johns under them and fill all my pockets with phone, camera & clippers. I am afraid if I get a smaller size the snap will not stay shut while swatting down & bending over.Have not tried them in the thorns yet. Hope they do not catch.

Pros
- Cool
- Doesn't show dirt
Cons
- Uncomfortable Drawstring
- Waist too large
Best Uses
I can stay cool and protected from insects and debris in my Best Buds gardening pants. The mushroom color hides dirt well and brushes off easily. The extra pockets are great and roomy. I especially like the squat gusset. And the fabric feels very soft next to my skin.
These pants are large, so you definitely need to order a size down. Even with a smaller size, I found that the waistband was still too large for me. There is an interior drawstring to help tighten the waist, but I found it very uncomfortable when bending. Still, this is a nice pant for gardening.

Pros
- Lightweight
- Pocket For Pruners
Cons
- Needs More Utility Pocket
- Too Short
Best Uses
- Gardening
I haven't used them yet but I've tried them on. I love the fit of them, they are loose, I don't want constrictions when I bend and kneel. I do wish they came in lengths, these are too short, but I'll deal with it. The only other criticism is there aren't enough utility pockets. The left side has nothing. All in all I like them, but...

Ignore the size chart and just buy your 'usual' size. I went off the size chart & these are about 4 sizes too big. Unfortunately they are going back. Not sure I'll try again due to shipping cost.
