Like a three-story inn for beneficial insects, this attractive insect house provides just the right habitat for some of gardeners' best friends. Solitary bees will nest in the bamboo "upstairs" and the holes in the first floor wood block, so they'll be ready to pollinate your garden come spring. The middle floor will attract pest-eating lacewings and ladybugs; the door opens so you can add a bit of dried grass and a few twigs for them to settle on. We designed the house to the exacting specifications of the insects so they'll feel right at home.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my father who enjoys gardening. When it arrived the roof was broken. It seemed that it was poorly packaged during shipping. My husband called customer service and addressed the issue. They were extremely helpful and friendly. They overnighted another one right away so that we would have it in time for Christmas. The new one arrived in great condition! We are excited to see who will decide to move into the new little home in the spring!

I make my own mason bee nesting "tubes" (holes in wood). But your device for mason bees and other insect nesting/reproduction such as lace wings is very practical.

We had to order this twice. The first one was so poorly constructed and finished that we were going to return it. Due to our prior experiences with Gardeners Supply, we agreed to have a second one sent out. This one arrived yesterday broken. Part of the top was broken off and lying in the bottom of the box. The nails that should have been holding it were put in at bad angles which caused it to break. Two days before Christmas and we are trying to glue the darned thing together to give as a gift. Do not buy this product.

Really like design - Kind of Frank Lloyd Wright look. Attractive, compact, quaint. Hung on fence behind backyard garden. Not sure it'll work. Fingers crossed. Only problem was one side of roof was broken. Bummer, but sending back, waiting for return's more hassle than worth. Still looks good.
