  • Installed height is over 5 feet to hold tall pole beans
  • Folds flat for storage at the end of the season

I bought two for planting my pole beans. They were easy to put together and will be easy to store and my beans have started coming up. I have a very small space for my garden, so these are perfect.

I use this for my haricot vert pole beans. It is just the right size and shape for an over ample harvest right through September. It even withstood huricane Katrina ('tho it leaned a little).

I'm trying pole beans on this tower for the first time this year. It seems sturdy and is quite attractive in the vegetable garden.

                    Best Uses

Easy set-up, comes hooked together so no wrestling with it and having open hooks catch on fencing, clothes, etc. They come in two pieces - a top and a bottom, each one a collapsed square. You pop the squares open and then fit the female sleeve prongs of the top over the corresponding male ones on the bottom. The genius of it is that they aren't all the same length so you can line up the long ones first and then the short ones, instead of feeling like you don't have enough hands to line them all up at once. I have only just planted the beans but I am looking forward to having the usual sprawl contained! And lower risk of the bean complex becoming a sail in heavy wind - it's just a much smaller face. Like an old-fashioned bean teepee but even more space-economical!

I was very disappointed in the gauge of wire of this tower. While inserting it in the ground, several of the side wires broke off. They seemed to be lightly soddered to the frame. I kept wondering if I was doing something wrong. I am sure it will hold the beans but it is now a little lopsided and won't square up. The pepper and eggplant supports were sturdy and that is what I expected.

I've used these wonderful cages for beans and cucumbers for about five years, every year getting one or two more. They're a bit pricey but worth every penny as once installed they never need to be adjusted for the entire season. The long legs go deep into the ground and ours have never needed any ground staples. I have nine of them now and only the oldest one has a slight break in it. They fold flat for easy winter storage. My best vegetable cage of any type.
