          Comments about Barley Straw Planter:

It became very quickly waterlogged and sank to the bottom of the pond, killing the poor plant. It did not circulate or have time to improve the water.

          Comments about Barley Straw Planter:

The netting on one barley ball came totally undone and the barley was released across the pond.
It was difficult to plant aquatic flowers in ball and then impossible to keep upright.

          Comments about Barley Straw Planter:

Only 4 days after putting the Barley planter into my pond the green algae started to show signs that it was working. With in a week there was a great improvement. The planter part was the most difficult. It will tip over, but being the hobby fishing family we are I put a few bobbers around the top and now the fountains do not tip it. I also used a low profile plant to help with stability.

          Comments about Barley Straw Planter:

the barley straw planter did not stay upright even after soaking it as per the instructions. the plant died and the algae grew. the final straw was when the barley fell apart and i had to scoop the product up along with all the algae it did not destroy or prevent. The product is a waste of money, do not buy it.

that there is not enough room to add soil and plant.

          Comments about Barley Straw Planter:

I placed it in my small gold fish pond to help clean the pond. It does nothing but stink up the area and didn't clean the pond at all. The area of the pond is approximate 6 x 8.

I was very disappointed. It was not at all pleasant to use. It insisted on turning upside down and was too large for my pond. It also turned the water brown. I took it out of my pond and am planning to return it for a refund.

                  Comments about Barley Straw Planter:

I have not had this long enough to see if it will really keep pond clear of algae, but primary problem now is that it keeps tipping over sideways, i.e. does not float in an upright position.
