I raise slider turtles and their pond area gets quite dirty. I placed the barley ball in the pond and after one week I have noticed a difference in the color of the water. What was dark from leaves falling in it is now see through. I love this product!

This is one of several items we recently purchased from GS. We put it into our small, natural pond and two weeks later much of the algae has disappeared. We are trying to prepare for introduction of friends' goldfish into our pond. I wish I had tied a length of rope onto each of them (2) in order to move them to locations I want for them instead of where the breezes send them.

I used the barley ball in a livestock pond. I never seen anything change. Was disappointed. Multiple uses MAY be needed but at the cost I doubt that I try, since I didn't see any results.

The barley ball was able to reduce the amount of pond scum on our pond in a short amount of time. It is a natural product safe for the ducks and animals who frequent. It will work for up to 6 months. Barley re-fills are available at Gardener's Supply. I was happy to find this easy to use product and highly recommend it.
