Comments about Bamboo Compost Crock:
We had to return this item and exchange it for the pottery one. The lid did not fit tightly on the container and the liner made it worse. It certainly would not have stopped odors from escaping.

Lid keeps the smells in and the garbage out of sight!

Comments about Bamboo Compost Crock:
Best looking countertop compost container we've had and that includes your stainless one. But we had to file edge of liner to allow lid to fit right. And we contrived a way to attach a charcoal deodorizer pad.

Comments about Bamboo Compost Crock:
I keep this small composter on my kitchen counter, and it looks like a decorative canister. It's so easy to pull the plastic insert out to dump it into my large, outdoor composter. The main thing I love is that I don't smell the remains while they're breaking down in there. This product has made me eager to see what else is available from Gardener's Supply!

Comments about Bamboo Compost Crock:
loved the crock initially, but found the glue holding the cylinder not waterproof. Can't help getting water on the crock when washing and cutting veggies, plus we keep it near the sink for convience. Put it on a tile and the cylinder did come back together some.

It definitely looks nicer and will not break like other kitchen compost holders.

Comments about Bamboo Compost Crock:
Beautiful container with really easy to remove and dump bucket inside. No odor at all when closed. It looks great in my kitchen and doesn't look at all like a compost crock. Only drawback is that there isn't much of a finish on the inside. Am thinking about putting on a light urethane finish, just to keep moisture from the veggies from making it damp.

Comments about Bamboo Compost Crock:
My last kitchen scrap compost pail was red ceramic, and though I loved the look, it was breakable and eventually broke. This bamboo kitchen scrap holder is even better- I LOVE the removable liner with handle that you just grab and head to the composter. It has a bigger capacity too, and for some reason there is no odor! It has an attractive, warm look, which would fit into about any kitchen. I couldn't be more pleased, unless it was free!

Comments about Bamboo Compost Crock:
We eat a lot of fruits and vegetables so we fill this container about once a day. This bamboo container is the most attractive one I've seen and the price here is better than on some other sites for the same product. Buy the "bio-bags" to go with it, they fit OK and they make cleaning the plastic bucket a snap.
