I use these with my Gardener's Revolution Planters. I love them, because they remind me to water with just a glance! They are only accurate depending upon the weight of the soil that is used, but the changes in the indicator are enough for me. I'm surprised if these are being phased out.

The gauge doesn't work. It often shows needs water when there is water in the tomato planter. I still have to check by putting my hand in the resevoir to see if there is water in it.

I really love home grown tomatoes; I am 70 years old and cannot move like I use to; I had 2 planters this summer and got some delicious tasting tomatoes; I made some booboos; with the gage, I was able to see when the plants needed watering; this is usually a problem with me with plants, is never knowing when to water and when not to.

After one month it still reads water not needed?
Someone else had the planter and said they "hoped I had better luck with it" then they did. No sign of what could be a tomato.
