They work great. I don't have that "raining" effect when I water my hanging baskets now. I will buy a bigger size next year. My baskets are 14 inches but once I got these full of dirt and flowers, they sort of settle in a bit and left about an inch gap around the top. Next year I'll get the 16 inch.

I think I got a bad batch. I ordered two sets. One appears to be OK, but the other one had issues in the coir being flimsy on one side which made the dirt leak out when watering. I put two together when I saw the problem and placed the flimsy sides opposite each other so the dirt wouldn't keep falling out when being watered. It doesn't completely solve the problem, but it was better than having my dirt flowing out on the ground every time I water. I didn't notice the other one had the same problem and consequently lose dirt every time I water. These were expensive and I am not happy that I really only got two planters out of the three I ordered because of the poor quality of the manufacturing.

Two years ago I purchased 3 AquaSav liners for my South facing deck. Even with moisture conserving soil it was a water-2-times-a-day.
The AquaSav liners allowed for once a day watering even on the hottest days. Naturally, my hanging planters looked nice all summer-even into the fall.
Wish that rather than a disc they were more like a tray--for even more "aqua-saving"!
FYI: I ordered replacements this spring.

I used this product in my hanging baskets and did not have to water as often.I even overwintered my spike,left plant in the hanging basket,stored it in my unheated garage watering on occasion. The spike will be planted in a large pot; it is now too big for the hanging basket.
