I just began composting and this is the perfect little container to place kitchen scraps. My husband and I juice vegetables and this sis perfect for the fiber, as well as for all the other scraps from veggies, fruits and coffee grinds. I find it convenient and cute.

It is so attractive I can leave it next to sink while I place my fruit and vegetable peelings and coffee grounds in until I can add contents to the compost heap.

Absolutely fabulous way to compost...a beautiful Apple Crock, sitting right on the counter. And with the filter in the top, there are no odors...even with onion skins and garlic peels. It sits right between my cutting board, coffee maker, and my sink, so I just pop all the kitchen scraps and coffee grounds right inside. I do use the biodegradable liner to keep the slime factor at bay. Then I carry the whole thing to my outside composter when full...wash the crock out, install a new liner, and we are ready to go again! I bought extra filters, but so far I've only had to wash the one that came with the crock. Beautiful...and practical.
