Easy to use and mixes well with soil but I was not prepared for the horrible smell. It smells like raw manure. After I had planted my garden, some friends were sitting on my patio (which is quite a distance from my garden) and they kept asking if a chicken coop or dairy farm was nearby. The smell only lasted a few days, now it's not noticeable.

I started using this fertilizer when I first started using the tomato success kits 9 YEARS AGO!! WOW! Long time! Known in my old neighborhood as the "Tomato Queen." My neighbors would send their kids at dinner time to see if I had any tomatoes or veggies to give away. They knew I always did and I would even grab walkers going by and make them take some home. Plus, I put quarts and quarts of red sauce away for the winter. Plus cucumber pickles, peppers, eggplants, herbs and just about everything else. One day, I had run out of the fertilizer I used on my flowers so I grabbed my tomato fertilizer and threw it in the pots. Two weeks later They looked amazing!!! So, now I order enough for everything I plant! And, I won't plant without it. Period.

The only way I can have fresh home grown veggies in the summer is planting in my earth boxes and this fertilizer keeps my plants going all summer. I use it every year I am able to do the boxes.

I like using this fertilizer but everytime I plant with it the squirrels and chipmunks dig everything up because of the peanut meal in the fertilizer.

This is a convenient fertilizer to use in container plantings. It is much higher quality and better balanced than the fertilizers at the big box stores. Better results make it worth the price.
