I use the cover not only over my vegetable rows but also around my tomato cages. It protects the young tomato plants from our strong winds and when it gets a little chilly I can have the tomato cage fully wrapped and the cover gathered at the top. I use clothespins to clamp the cover to the cages.

Covered the raised bed garden because herbs and re-seeded herbs were growing. We've had several nights in the 20's. Fabric allows for growth and protects the plants. Am interested to see at what temperature the herbs will finally succumb to the cold! We live in central Kentucky

This enabled peppers, eggplant and tomatoes to continue to produce an extra 3 weeks. We did have to remove the stakes because they would puncture the cloth and one section blew off in the wind but garden staples secured it without ripping.

                Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:

I am preparing for a Femoral Osteotomy surgery. I wanted to get some of my newer plants covered before I went into the hospital even though it is still very early here in Northern California to be covering up plants. But I will be non weight bearing on my leg for 6 weeks, so I ordered this fabric.

It is exactly what they said it is. Lightweight - so the sun still shines into my plants, and I have a drip system - so I can still water. I have new Thuja trees and do not want to lose them, as well as a bird of paradise that I almost let freeze last year. They are all covered up now and we will see how this material protects them.

The price is great - much cheaper than at the home supply places. You get much more fabric than at the retail places. I used 1 roll and covered up 7 HUGE plants. I used tomato cages and put them over my big plants - then I wrapped the tomato cages. Worked great.

                      Comments about All-Purpose Garden Fabric:

This was actually not the product I needed - my fault for not reading the description well enough. I needed something to use through the summer and this is better for protecting plants at the ends of the growing season. Since it's a solid fabric, it holds in heat and keeps bees out. But, rather than returning it, I'm holding on to it to use in the fall. It will be nice to extend the growing season on my swiss chard and lettuce! I'll probably also cut some smaller pieces to cover annual beds when there's an early frost warning. So I'm glad I accidentally bought it!
