These Self-Watering Conversion Kits convert your favorite pots into self-watering planters, keeping your plants from drying out and reducing the time you spend watering. Just place this self-contained adjustable reservoir in the bottom of your pot, insert the refill tube and cover with soil. The One-Gallon Conversion Kit holds four quarts and fits pots between 16" and 20" in diameter at the rim. The smaller One-Quart Conversion Kit holds one quart and fits pots up to 10-14" top diameter. Simply fill the reservoir with water through the convenient Fill Tube. The soil will be moistened through evaporative action from the reservoir below. May be used with a liquid or a water-soluble fertilizer. A vacation watering solution!

Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:
Having acquired so many containers throughout the years, this product has allowed me to convert those to self-watering, making care of their contents much easier for me as I've gotten older. Began using them when they first became available and always keep spares on hand to have for additional containers.

Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:
I've retrofitted existing outdoor planters with these and they work really well. I water less frequently and the planters don't dry out as readily. Great product.

Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:
Use this when you FIRST put a plant in a pot or when changing to a larger pot. Don't use with plants that should dry out between waterings. This has saved me many trips up and down the stairs to water indoor plants and has saved plants that would not have survived the longer trips I occasionally take.

Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:
It came at the right time. Hottest summer yet and I was going on vacation. It saved many of my plants outside that I would have lost due to the heat. I did have to buy some extra pots to fit watering kits. But it was all worth it when I came home and saw my plants still alive and thriving.

Great for large pots that you don't know when you will be able to water or for poor drainage pots(older ones).

Comments about Self-Watering Conversion Kits:
The conversion kit makes it easy to know when to water your plants. My plant has never looked better. I transferred it to a large planter and the kit fits nicely.
The directions neglect to tell you to "cut" the tubing to fit the kit. I also had to stare at it a while to figure out exactly what to do. It's a shame because there are video instructions which could be better.
