Comments about APS Starter Kit:
I use this product every year. It stands up to the use and does a great job of starting all my plant seeds. It is reusable and sturdy. I love this product. It is mush better than peat pots or other seed starting methods because of its self watering process.

For someone like me just starting to grow from seed, this is a great product. Very easy to set up and use. My only complaint is the bottom tray is a lightweight plastic that doesn't take to moving.

Comments about APS Starter Kit:
This is my first time starting seeds from scratch and the system worked great. The seedling tray has an open bottom to absorb moisture...so don't be tempted to lift this tray off because all the soil and seedlings fall out!

Comments about APS Starter Kit:
Made of thin plastic and styrofoam, not sure how many seasons this will last, but the wicking mat provides consistant watering for the seedlings. Easy to remove seedlings to larger pots after they have germinated and are ready.

- Holding Capacity

Cons
- Styrofoam Trays

Comments about APS Starter Kit:

Comments about APS Starter Kit:
I've been using the cheap seed starting trays for years and decided this year to try something good. My mom has used APS trays for many years and said they are great. So far I have no complaints. They came with everything I needed but the seeds, and germination happened much quicker than normal. Plus I still have plenty of germination mix left for later.

- Lightweight
- Sturdy
Cons
Best Uses

Comments about APS Starter Kit:
I am using these for the first time, so can't tell you how they stand up to multiple uses. However, I love the fact that I don't have to check the water level every day. I used the included starting mix and followed directions. Within 3 days I had 5 cells of lettuce, 3 tomatoes and one bell pepper emerge. These are great seed starters!
Pros
- Attractive Design
- Holding Capacity
Cons
Best Uses
- Growing Seeds
Comments about APS Starter Kit:
These seed starting kits are really pretty cool. They were super easy to fill and set up.
I like to rotate my seedlings under the grow light so they grow straight. Since the base is still a lightweight plastic, these kits get a little sloshy when they're full of water. Just a minor complaint. Overall they work great!
I'm not sure the water level guages work very well with this kit. The opening they fit into is designed so that they fit in at an angle. This inhibits the plunger in the guage a bit. It's easy enough to just eyeball the water level though.
Pros
- Attractive Design
- Holding Capacity
- Lightweight
- Sturdy
Cons
- Grows Mold/Mildew
Best Uses

Comments about APS Starter Kit:
I love this product! It takes the worry out of heirloom seed starting. Every seed is special in the heirloom world. With this system everyone of my seeds sprouted. I have used other starter kits and they don't compare to this system. It's a big green thumbs up for me!
