Exclusive | Our APS-40 Seedstarting Units Ensure Success

  • Insulated growing tray and greenhouse cover trap warmth and moisture to speed germination
  • Includes Pegboard, Planting Tray, Reservoir, Capillary Mat, and Greenhouse Cover
  • The APS-40 is best suited for starting vegetables and flowers that will be transplanted into the garden when seedlings are still small

This all-in-one unit ensures steady supply of water for seedlings. Just keep the reservoir filled and the soil will remain perfectly moist. The APS 40 ensures sturdy, healthy transplants that will thrive in your garden. The insulated growing tray and greenhouse cover trap warmth and moisture to speed germination. The capillary matting and reservoir let seedlings help themselves to water as they need it, even if you're away. Seedlings pop right out of the tray for planting, which prevents root damage and transplant shock. We recommend our Germinating Mix. Replacement Parts are available.

  • Overall dimensions: 14-1/4" L x 9-3/4" W and 7- 1/4" high with clear cover.

    Comments about APS 40:

I really like the ease of setup and use. Once established it may constantly used to start seeds of all types, keeping in mind that certain plants transfer better than others. I used it mostly for starting/establishing vining plants. not a good use for root plants like radishes, carrots potatoes. et al.

I used this product to start seeds last month. Works very well & easy to use. When it came time to transplant to bigger pots, the plants were easily dislodged from the styrofoam containers. So great I just ordered another one.

                  Comments about APS 40:

I've used these for probably ten years. Most are original and with care should last many more years. Cleaning with a disinfectant (bleach) before putting away for the season and buying new wicking material every few years will control any mold. They are most useful for growing out germinated seeds before moving to small pots. Excellent! I need more for a hobby greenhouse operation.
