This all-in-one unit ensures steady supply of water for seedlings. Just keep the reservoir filled and the soil will remain perfectly moist. The APS 24 ensures sturdy, healthy transplants that will thrive in your garden. The insulated growing tray and greenhouse cover trap warmth and moisture to speed germination. The capillary matting and reservoir let seedlings help themselves to water as they need it, even if you're away. Seedlings pop right out of the tray for planting, which prevents root damage and transplant shock. We recommend our Germinating Mix. Replacement Parts are available.

Comments about APS 24:
I used this to start my seeds such as cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers and watermelons. I had them under grow lights and they did wonderful. Everything sprouted well and it was easy to remove from the cells when it was time to transplant. I also liked that I was able to plant more than one item at a time. You don't have to have 24 cells of the same thing. Sometimes I planted 12 cells with bell peppers and the other 12 with cucumbers. Once the seedlings had sprouted I also used the PHC fertilizer that I bought from Gardener's to water with and my plants were beautiful.

I love this thing! I haven't used it yet - getting that done today, but the concept is excellent and I love that it pokes the seedlings out of the try when you are ready to plant them. Very clever! Can't wait to get going. In fact, will do that now instead of playing on the computer.

Comments about APS 24:
So glad I purchased the APS-24 system along with my Table Top Grow Light.
Pros:
- The water reservoir is perfect to help keep seedlings moist, but not over-watered.
- I was able to be away from home for a few days and my seedlings survived, thanks to water reservoir.
- Does not dry out quickly, like the other pots I tried (plastic pots, cardboard bio-degradable pots ... will never try those again).
I used my APS-24 system under the Gardener's Supply "Table Top Grow Light" and I had about 6 inches of extra room at the end to sit other seedlings.

This is such an easy to use product-perfect for anyone growing your own seedlings! Why not start your own vegetable seedlings to control what you feed to your family? All - good, pure, natural healthy foods-Just as you and your family deserve! This APS is so easy-follow directions and your seedling will be off to a great start! Ready to transplant? Turn over the peg (stand) to pop out your seedlings! They aren't all ready to be transplanted? Use your finger to pop out the ready seedlings while the others sit to grow more.

Nice results first time using. Even though I only put 1 seed per cell, only 2 cells did not grow. My heated covered seed starter only produced 6 plants out of 40 cells.

Comments about APS 24:
Great for keeping soil moist. Great for creating a mini-greenhouse for seeds. But when you take the seedlings out, be warned: the styrofoam can break with the weight of the wet soil. The cells are made of styrofoam (come on Gardener's find a better material!!) and it breaks easily. Not re-useable that way nor earth-friendly for that matter. GS, please find a material that is better for the environment and lasts a little longer than one use!)

Comments about APS 24:
I first used this product with my seven year old daughter. She didn't like the idea of planting two or three seeds because she didn't want to thin them if more than one sprouted. We planted two full APS 24 trays with one seed in each chamber with tomato, pepper and eggplant seeds. Every seed germinated and thrived after transplanting into pots. This is a great product for a very reasonable price.

Comments about APS 24:
Appears to work well as a seed starter but am worried about the wearability over the years. Appears to be solid so only time will tell.
