I have never used these before but a friend has used them for a long time and encouraged me to get some. They will be great on the deck where I have numerous potted plants.

I've used these for years and absolutely love them! I have been buying these for years at a store but have not seen them online before now. Product lasts forever! I only buy more because I keep getting more planters of various sizes. Love these rings to keep pots off the ground where they might stain the concrete patio. Allows for easier draining if you over water a bit. These rings also provide air flow under the planter when on hot surfaces in summer heat. I have left these outside year round in 100 degree heat to below freezing. No problems at all! I have never had one break in the 10+ years I've owned them. They will fade over time to a lighter color (I own only the terra cotta color). Be sure to get the right size for your planter (exact diameter or slightly larger if you don't mind just a bit showing from under the planter). If you use too small of a ring the planter will be wobbly and easier to blow over in high winds. These are a great product and of very good quality.
