Pros
- Good Looking
- Heavy-duty Brackets
- Self contained
- Self watering
- Well built
Cons
- Drill Own Drain Holes
Best Uses
- Deck railing
- Window Boxes
I love the self-watering capabilities of this well-built window box or deck railing planter. It could also be used as a stand-alone planter box for along a foundation or narrow area, where other larger planters might be too big! This will work nicely in our area of very dry conditions.
Pros
- BEAUTIFUL
- Easy Installation
- Really works
Cons
Best Uses
I had been looking at this window box for a long time, but hesitated to buy it because of the expense. Well, the free shipping finally convinced me to buy it and I'm so glad that I did. It was very easy to install (I did need to add weed barrier to prevent soil from clogging the water reservoir) and it looks very elegant. I was leaving for a week's vacation, but I didn't need to worry about my flowers; I watered thoroughly before I left and the soil was still moist when I returned. I'm very satisfied with this product.
Pros
- Holds great deal of water
- Looks great
- Sturdy
Cons
Best Uses
These window boxes soften the hard exterior of our office building. Even with the unusually high, 3-digit temps we've experienced this early summer, these boxes hold enough water so that the plants haven't drooped once since planting 2nd week in June. Every day we receive compliments from clients!
Pros
- Beautiful boxes
- Really works
Cons
- Shipping took a while
Best Uses
- Any window
I have a direct southern exposure and have never been able to keep beautiful windowboxes despite using heat tolerant plants. Everyone who comes to my house remarks how beautiful my windowboxes are this year!
This water reservoir at the bottom really works and the design of the box is beautiful. Quality is excellent.
I have ordered patio planters in the same design.
We ordered 2 of these a few years ago. One was recently damaged in a severe wind storm and we just replaced it. They are well worth the expense. The self watering feature saves daily watering even though they are exposed to wind and sun. Usually we add water every two or three days. They are attractive as well.
Pros
- Look great years later
Cons
Best Uses
- For a hard to water spot
Have had 2 up for 5 years, still look great! Bought 1 more this year.
Pros
- Attractive
- Easy to install brackets
- Sturdy
Cons
Best Uses
- Add seasonal plantings
- Decorative
We installed three window boxes on the dormers on the front of our home. Study brackets attach easily with wood screws that were included. The box snaps into the brackets and the weight holds it in place. It should be easy to remove during the winter. We are pleased with the product which promises 15 years of fade resistance.
Of course, I've only just received and installed them recently so I can't speak to durability yet, but they are beautiful, easy to install, and the only thing you have to do after installation is plant and water. I threw my old wood planters out because I was tired of the repair and painting that had to be done each spring. Now I can just sit back and watch my beautiful blooms grow. I do wish they would have arrived faster.
Like the looks, however, it does have some areas that the form is off on the planter edges.
Pros
- Attractive Design
- Drains Well
- Holding Capacity
- Lightweight
- Sturdy
- Weather Resistant
Cons
- So far there are no cons
Best Uses
- I'm using it as a planter
- Outdoor Plants
I'm using it as a planter in a narrow spot near a side walk. This is it's first year so I don't know how it will winter over but so far, it looks great and gives color in a highly visible spot that had always looked ugly.
