After purchasing one at a home improvement store, thinking they are all alike...well, I learned my lesson. These not only look nice in our home, they really do their job and catch everything! We have brand new hardwood floors, this item has helped keep my floors nice! (Mud, dirt, etc) I purchased the med. brown and it doesn't look industrial, hides dirt and mud, however, we have a yellow lab and a red heeler and I have noticed you can see fur if not vacuumed at lease once a week.
I am pleased with my purchase!
Pros
- Absorbs Water
- Rough Surface Traps Sand
Cons
Best Uses
I bought the medium size rug to use in our garage. It fits nicely lengthwise in front of the steps leading to the sunroom. This entrance gets heavy use and I've noticed a marked improvement in the tracking in of snow, salt and sand this winter. The best of all possible worlds would be everyone taking their shoes off in the garage but until that happens I've found this rug to be an attractive alternative. It's heavy, doesn't slide or trip people so much better than anything else I have had there over the years.
Pros
- Absorbent
Cons
- Size Mis-advertised
Best Uses
The actual size is 32" x 57" - not 35" x 58" as advertised on the web site. We were annoyed by this because the 35" would completely cover the door opening, but the 32" does not. I know it's only 3 inches, but that 3 inches makes a difference - aesthetically as much as functionally for us.
Other than that, we love everything else about it.
Pros
- Aesthetically Pleasing
- Durable
- Stops Dirt And Moisture
Cons
Best Uses
I love this doormat, which I have in the mudroom. Unfortunately it slides on the linoleum, so I would prefer that it be less mobile. But it is durable and stops the mud and moisture as described. I also have the smaller doormat size and the half round size at other doors and on other floor types. The half round is on low-pile carpet and it slides, too. However, the smaller doormat size is on a hardwood floor and is fantastic - no sliding. I'm sure all three sizes have the same backing, so the sliding must have to do with floor type.
Pros
- Easy To Vacum Clean
- I Have Two Rugs
- Rug Makes Pleasant Entry
Cons
Best Uses
- Kitchen Entryways Clean
I bought one rug for my entry. I liked its appearance and easy care, so I bought another one to fill the length of the entry. They work great.
Pros
- Does Not Slide
- good color
- Low profile
- Quality material
Cons
Best Uses
- Entry Doorway
- Mudroom
We use this rug at the entry doorway. The door does not drag on the rug (we have had trouble finding one). It helps control the water and mud that gets tracked into the house. The rug does not slide on the floor when the dogs run in. It is a great color and the leaf design is very attractive.
The larger size and hefty texture make it so much more useful at the front door, and the fact that it stays put is a big plus. The color is good, although I thought it might be a little lighter brown--more of a camel color.
Pros
- Holds grass and dirt well
Cons
- Holds grass too well
Best Uses
- Grass
Catches grass and dirt very well; difficult to vacuum off since it grabs grass so well.
Pros
- Attractive
- Catches all the dirt
- Stands up to wear
- Sturdy
Cons
- none
Best Uses
- Entryways
We bought a couple of these and really like how they hold up despite a lot of use. They catch all the dirt and water and are easy to vacuum clean.
