Super-Thirsty Doormats Trap Mud and Hold Water
- Absorbent mats trap water and dirt to contain entryway messes
- Tough and stain-resistant, with a low profile for easy door clearance
It's hard to believe, but these mats will hold up to 1-1/2 gallons of liquid per square yard! The waterproof rubber backing and "water dam" edge keep moisture, mud, and grit contained. Just vacuum clean when dry. Super-tough polypropylene mats have raised, crushproof nubs to scrape boot bottoms clean. Gripper nubs on bottom keep mats from slipping or skidding. Pros
- Holds Water And Mud
Cons
Best Uses
- Entry ways
I purchased two of these mats for inside my front and back door. Mud - sawdust (from my husbands wood shop)collects on mats instead of floor just vacuum. Let the mud dry and it cleans nicely.
- Was this a gift?:
- No
Pros
- Easily cleaned
- Looks good
- Soaks Up Snow And Water
Cons
Best Uses
- Entryway
Put it right inside the side door. When the dog and I stand on it, the snow and water stay on the rug. When it is dry, easily vacuumed.
Pros
- BEAUTIFUL
- Easy to care for
- Rugged
Cons
Best Uses
We use this in the most used room in our home - dog comes in and out of here, we garden from here, we work out in that room, come in after runs, it takes all our abuse and comes back looking beautiful.
Pros
- Durable
- Durable Low Profile
- Low profile
- Non-slip
Cons
Best Uses
- Perfect At The Front Door
I have all sizes of the water glutton mats: doormat, runner, and half round. I love all of them, but the runner and the half round do slide a bit and one corner on each is raised. However, I do not have this problem with the doormat size. It stays put.
We ordered one for inside our front door (most frequently used entrance to our home). It worked so well that we ordered a second one.
My only suggestion is to offer one that is about 46" x 35" so that we wouldn't need two together. The next size up was too large for where we wanted to use it.
We are VERY happy with this!
Very tasteful way to add a practical piece to your home. Suitably absorbent, flat enough to fit under our door, even with weather stripping on it.
Pros
- Good heft
Cons
Best Uses
This rug/runner stays put. I love the heft of it and low profile. Can't wait for some bad weather and winter to see how the 'waterhog' works with the boot snow.

Cons
Best Uses
- Indoor from deck
We put this in front of the door we use constantly going in and out to the deck in the summer. More attractive than most outdoor rugs, yet durable enough that I don't mind wiping off garden dirt, grass clippings, etc. instead of tracking them into the kitchen.
This little rug sits in our Master Bedroom by the patio door. It will work out nicely. During the winter, when snow fills up our satilite dish, this little rug will protect out new carpet by holding all the moisture brought in by the snow.
Live in the south, have a lot of sand and some rain. My floors are not collecting near as much dirt and smudge marks from water on the shoes. So the door mats are doing there job. I am very much pleased with the product, would highly recommend it to anyone.
