Comments about 31" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I bought this planter for my daughter-in-law's birthday. I have two of my own. Here in the desert SW, they are a necessity. They stay evenly moist, don't need to water daily and maintain the plantings through the most extreme heat. I add water at most, once every 10 days.
Love these planters.

Comments about 31" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We hung our 6 boxes on the outside of the deck railing. Being able to watch the moisture gage to see when water is needed instead of letting the flowers dry up first is a big plus. The boxes were hard to get level with the brackets inclosed. We had to add a shim at the outer end to level it.

Comments about 31" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We have a summer home, that is only used on weekends. I fill the planters on Friday when I arrive and top off Sunday night before we leave. The flowers stay watered all week and beautify my home. Who has time to water every day anyway? This product is one of the best offered through Garden Supply.

Comments about 31" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I like that these work well for the price. I initially bought 4 and when they were filled with flowers the first summer, they really complemented the look of my little cape-style house. However, the one thing I will say is that I have found that in the heat of the summer, they still need watering almost every day...but the reservoir does seem to ensure even distribution of the water to the plants. My husband rigged up some clear, plastic tubing that takes care of filling the reservoirs. Of the 4 I had initially, I had 1 crack in the garage over the winter the first year (suspect the husband on that). I bought a replacement, but now I have 2 boxes that don't seem to be doing so well...I think something is broken in the reservoir because the plants I put in them are just sad. So I will get 2 more...and while I do like these, I think the plastic is prone to breaking/cracking...don't expect these to last for a long time. Will probably switch out for something more permanent in future.

Comments about 31" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Our home is clapboard, and the brackets didn't work well with the siding. My house is light gray with federal blue shutters, so the white was the best of the colors offered, but ended up looking cheap and flimsy. Ordered 6, opened one box of 2. Will use the 2 we opened for the deck, and will be returning the other 4. Might work well on other houses, but not on ours.

Comments about 31" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I purchased three window boxes to decorate the deck rail across the entire width of the deck. They look lovely filled with outdoor plants and flowers, and I don't have to water every day, which was a concern because I travel a lot. The window boxes are a great addition to my deck, and I recommend them highly.

Comments about 31" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Great design; handsome; since I planted it just a day ago, I don't know yet how it drains or how it works, but I expect that it will be just fine. I'm using it for annual plantings at a gravestone, where I need the self-watering capacity of the planter since I can visit the site only infrequently.
