Comments about 3-Tier Strawberry Bed:
I used this product to contain my strawberries in the center of my garden. The top and second tier I placed some annuals to give a lovely look. And I have a beautiful copper water spinner placed on top. Quite fetching!
Also, I found this product to be more easy on the eyes and space maximizing compared to department store competitors.

Comments about 3-Tier Strawberry Bed:
Not using for strawberries. Using it to create a tiered area for a flower bed around a tree. Could not use the 1 ft section there, so used it in another location to define the bed around a light pole.
Pros
- Easy assembly
- Well made
Cons
- A little pricey

Comments about 3-Tier Strawberry Bed:
Gardiner's Supply should include more detailed info on how much soil is needed to fill the tier. Number of quarts is fairly useless as most soil and soil amendments are sold by the 40# bag or by the cubic foot. Just so you know, it took between 25 and 30 40# bags. It's going to vary depending on how much peat and/or compost is included.

Comments about 3-Tier Strawberry Bed:
This product works well in my raised bed garden.
I am very pleased with this product.
Pros
- Attractive Design
- Easy construction
Cons
- 1 x 6 boards
- Doesn't match corners
Best Uses
Comments about 3-Tier Strawberry Bed:
I had previously ordered the dark grey aluminum corners from this site and constructed a couple of beds using 2x6 cedar purchased locally.
I ordered this kit and the raspberry one, expecting matching corners. To my surprise the corners are bronze-colored (more attractive, actually) and fit 1x6 boards only. This results in a flimsier feeling bed, and less value-for-money than I was expecting.
Still, it's OK...certainly not sending them back. Just wish it hadn't been a surprise--I may well have just ordered more corners and used local cedar.

Dreaming of a backyard berry patch? An asparagus bed? Start with a raised bed. A raised bed isolates the perennial crop from invasive weeds and grasses that might creep into the growing area. All have shallow roots that don't compete well with weeds and that can be damaged by aggressive weeding tools.

If you're trying to keep birds from your crops, any scare device will work for a few days. But the most effective technique is exclusion.
