You may need only one composter most of the year, but where can you put that mountain of leaves every fall? This wire bin holds 16 cubic feet (102 dry gallons) of leaves and garden scraps, without the investment of an enclosed composter. In fact, it's so inexpensive that many gardeners use three together: one to collect waste, one for cooking compost, and one for finished compost. Save when you purchase our 3-Bin Composting System

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
I liked the stakes that were formerly used for the corner closure better than the spirals that are now used. I find the spirals hard to put on and take off.
Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
I almost didn't order these bins because of the conflicting reviews about setting them up. A lot of reviews said that set up was easy but the reviews against the set up were pretty strong. So, for the record, SET UP COULD NOT BE EASIER!

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
We have the 3-bin wire composter. It was extremely easy to set up and only took a few minutes to assemble. I have it placed in our backyard, and it is nearly invisible from both our house and our backyard neighbor's house. We use it for grass clippings and will use it for leaves this fall. There are a couple of drawbacks with the wire composter. First, some of the grass clippings tend to fall through the wire mesh, and I'm guessing smaller leaves will also filter through. The bulk of the material is contained, however . The other issue is that there is no easy way to access the composted material from below. As we have just begun using it, I haven't needed to figure out a way to do this. Overall, I'm happy with the wire bin system. It is a good way to contain lawn waste instead of the big, unsightly pile we had before. I feel that the positive attributes outweigh the drawbacks and I am pleased with my purchase.

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
I've had one of these for a few years and am about to buy another one to store more stuff as my garden has expanded.
The sharp coils for fastening are somewhat scary and make opening a side to turn the compost a chore. I've just had a thought, which is to use the plastic clothespins I use to attach tomato cages to one another to replace the wire coils.
I live in a high wind area, and have had no trouble with the bin and wind. I bought the extra wire cover for the top and never needed it and eventually threw that out. It has always been stable, even when critters pull out goodies like corn cobs. They can get to those through the edges where the sides join. They're welcome to them.
It's also a lot more attractive than the expensive plastic bins.
Aside from the wire coils (what were they thinking) this is a fine, inexpensive solution.

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
Bin composter serves my purpose very well. It is simple to assemble and easy to move if necessary. Composting is not a complicated operation and this simple container works very well.
I would say that the only drawback is that it is a little flimsy but for the price not a bad deal.

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
My friend and I both wanted to begin composting but weren't ready to spend a fortune. This composter was able to be attached to my chain link fence (I have a dogrun) to create 2 different bins and also formed together to make another bin for my friend who needed a lid. The spiral connectors weren't quick to use but they are durable and versatile. To experiment with the shape I wanted before using the spirals, I used twist ties. I have stopped setting my yard waste at the curb.

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
I originally purchased the three bin set for composting purposes. I have since re-purposed them to surround my small (6x12) vegetable garden. I have also used metal binder clips on one panel so that i have easy access to the garden.

Comments about Wire Bin Composter:
This is a great basic composter for someone who has a large volume of yard waste. (I got the three-bin set.) No bells and whistles, just an easy to set up system. You shouldn't put food scraps in it unless you have it well away from the house -- it is open to all sized rodents. Another tip -- I used the coils that come with the composter to set it up, but then removed them along one edge of each front section so that I can swing the front open like a gate. Otherwise, it would be very difficult for me to turn the pile and dig out finished compost.
