I have a small balcony deck that needed something that would enhance the railings without taking "more space" - it holds perfectly, and blends as though it was made for the deck - a perfect idea!!!

            Comments about 24" Railing Planters:

I have these across my deck in the front of my house. This is the first summer for them! I was worried about the wind blowing them off...(I live in Kansas on a hill in the country) I placed them on my deck rail empty to make sure they would stay put. I had them out for early spring empty (very windy) and empty they never moved. Have them full and can't wait till my flowers get big!!!!!

These are wonderful on my decks in Colorado. They stay in place even with winds and hail. The flowers cascade nicely down both sides. Couldn't be happier. Will definitely be ordering more.

                Comments about 24" Railing Planters:

I splurged on four rail planters to liven up my deck at the beginning of the summer. My one concern was whether or not the planters would tip from the railing since there is no installation to speak of; you literally just place the planter on the rail. We just weathered the biggest thunderstorm I've ever seen, complete with intense gusts of wind and rain, and the planters did not budge. Amazing! Oh, and they look lovely too!

                  Comments about 24" Railing Planters:

I love these planters for my front patio, bought 3 and they really add a nice touch. However, one of that planters (the one facing North) does not want to stay on the railing when there is a strong wind - it has become my nemesis. I live in NYC- Long Island and it's not like we have ridiculous storms, but it just refuses to stay on and reluctantly has ruined all my beautiful plantings in it from falling to the ground. Yesterday was a windy day- rainstorm pending, it fell over 2x's. I found a bungee cord and tied it around and it still flip-flopped front to back- but at least did not fall over completely. The planter fits nicely over the railing, but be forewarned it is not a 'snug' fit. With all that being said, I still really likethem b/c they do not damage the vinyl railing and look nice.

                    Comments about 24" Railing Planters:

I have had these planters for two years. They do hold up well but there is no room for a root system. Everything dries up even with watering twice a day. I watered so much that the run off ruined part of my deck. The pictures of the planters are deceiving as you cannot grow those plants in them.

                    Comments about 24" Railing Planters:

I've had several of these for years. Holds up to sunlight, wind etc. Shallow, need to be deeper. Dry out too fast in sunlight and dirt gets too hot. Another couple of inches in height would be perfect. I just bought 6 more...and have spent the entire afternoon trying to get the residual glue off them after removing the labels which delaminated as I slowly and carefully peeled them. Someone at gardner's neds to ask the manufacterer to try and peel these suckers off themselves to see what it's like.....not good! I have better things to do, like grow plants!
