I bought two of these planters for my front porch. I use them for annual flowers each year. They are sturdy, fit the railing perfectly and I am very happy with them. The only negative is they are a little shallow, especially along the center where they rest on the railing.

Bought 2 of these 3 years ago. My banister is slightly rounded and less than the 4 inches, leading to a less than ideal fit. They blew off multiple times in slightly more than average wind conditions. The rims broke off after 3 years and they developed cracks. I am going to try another brand for this year.

I bought 2 of these for my new vinyl deck rail. I like the look and overall size of them, but they are a bit unsteady. They tend to see-saw when windy. I have to take them down in high wind so they won't blow off. Also, while the sides are nice and deep, the middle is very shallow. Will have to see if the roots have enough room to spread and survive the summer. Would work better if the railing top is perfectly flat.
