The extenders that hold the planter to the rail also act like water reserviors and self water. Bought many to dress up my house to put on the market!
We received our planters in less than a week. They are now filled with plants and look great. We have people stop and ask where we got them and tell us how beautiful they look. I am so glad I found these as I don't see them in the stores.

I originally purchased three of these and ended up ordering three more. They are beautiful, but look nicer when you group them together. Like some others, I drilled a few extra holes for drainage, as they only have a few holes pre-drilled. I did add some rocks at the bottom for both drainage and to add to the weight - although they are very secure on the railing and probably don't need the extra weight. I have had tons of compliments on these. My only complaints are the price (as with just about everything on this site) and the fact that they have labels on them that are extremely hard to remove - and after scrubbing one of the stickers off, it did leave a small discoloration. Other than that, the quality is very nice and not having to use nails or screws to secure these is fantastic.
