“These self-watering windowboxes were a great find. We go back and forth between our two houses all summer long, and these window boxes keep our plants from drying out between visits.”

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I live and breath gardening in the summer in Maine. I recently added a garden shed to my backyard and knew I had to have window boxes. I saw the Gardeners Supply window boxes and knew I had found exactly what I wanted.
I produce a garden show in Maine and I did an entire show demonstrating the window boxes and showed the wonderful flowers that I grew the first time ever in my three new window boxes. I have to say I was thrilled with the product and how it performed.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I love this window box. It looks good; it is easy to use; it is easy to fill and it's easy to see when it needs to be filled. There is nothing more I would want in a window box, unless it watered itself. I use it outside my brownstone window. My only complaint is that it only comes in two sizes, and I would like it larger than this one, but smaller than the large size.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
We hung two of these boxes on our elevated deck, and while one did fine, the other one doesn't hold water in its resevoir. Now the planters (and their plants) have been brought in for the winter, and the one that doesn't hold water is continually filling up a tray we were forced to place beneath it. In all other respects, these planters have performed well, and they look very nice. I consider this a mixed review, not a negative one.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
Just got the new window box planters expecting them to be like the old ones and am very disappointed. The fill tube is huge and right in the middle of the growing area. The old ones had the fill tube at the end of the planter and was small but at least it didn't take up so much growing room and was at the end of the planter out of the way. Still deciding if I will send them back. I use the old ones to grow things in my sun room and they work great for lettuces and other greens. These are not up to the ones I already have!

I use these for my indoor winter vegetable garden in my sun room. I grow chard, lettuce, salad greens, onion, and beans in them. They make it easy to keep consistent moisture to the vegetables. I have just ordered a couple more for a constant supply of salad for the winter. I don't have them on windows but they work great under grow lights.

I installed my window boxes within 2 weeks of receiving them. I am not handy dandy with tools, but I had no trouble using the strong hardware to install my window boxes to my cute little shed. I wish you could see the plants that grow in these self watering window boxes. They are lush, need very little watering and I believe the window boxes will last for years.

When I fill the reservoir I can forget about watering. I check the level on the weekend and there is still water in the reservoir. Makes window boxes etc fun again.

Purchased this item late in the season after painting our home and I couldn't wait until next spring to fill them so I put mums in and I love them.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I bought three of these planters for my 71" front window as I couldn't find a window box to fit as well as be economical. They are planted but not installed as yet. They seem sturdy and I like the self-watering feature. The only issue now is that the window boxes are going to sit a bit low under the window because of our lap siding on the house.
