bought these maybe 10 yrs ago for weekend cottage. Kept plants watered and alive up on second floor windows. made life so much easier. Always get lots of compliments on the beautiful windowboxes. Boxes themselves are not that attractive but the flowers take over and are outstanding all season...even when we arent there to care for them. Just bought 2 more for our new house.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I bought the window box to try to use indoors and didn't realize until I had filled the container with water that it had holes in the bottom to drain outdoors and I had water all over the floor. After plugging the holes up it works fine in a south facing window. Seeds are growing just fine.

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
I use the window boxes on our back porch. We had 2 boxes from several years ago. We ordered 2 more boxes this year. The boxes kept our plants beautiful all summer long in North Carolina. Our new boxes the lid on the water spouts broke off during assembling. What a disappointment. Notify your manufacturer and their quality control group. It was very flimsy not like the previous window boxes.

Cons
- Deteriorates/Rots
- Hard to water

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
This is my 2nd 24' window box, in white. It is a replacement, and hangs under the window of my garden shed. The first one lasted four years, then became discolored and mottled with gray, also brittle. I like the looks and it is easy to slide into the support and take it down for winter storage. However, the advertised photo shows the water tube at the front left edge of the container. WRONG! In the 24" planter it is in the middle of the planter, 1/3 of the way in from the left side. Brimming with blooming flowers, how is one to open the top and fill the water tube without damaging the plants? Dumb design, and misleading photo. So, I just water around the plants, assuming the extra will flow into the reservoir. I think a re-design might be in order...

Comments about 23" Self-Watering Windowbox:
These are the best self watering window boxes. We go out of town often, so they are just perfect. I love the "thermometer"-like probe, that tells if the reservoir is high or low on water. It can be viewed several feet away. One of my window boxes is located in a place that's a little difficult to get to. One less thing for me to worry about.
