Of course, for the price I didn't expect finely-crafted ceramic but I did expect this planter to appear similar to the photograph and product description (including the words: "distinctive, stylish, historical, polished", etc.) on the Gardener's Supply website. And the "Faux copper plate " description is quite the understatement! The cheap cooper-colored paint barely stayed within the lines! I'd be embarrassed for any of my neighbors or gardener friends to see this within my garden. Back it goes- to China as the label said.

There is no downside to this planter. It is both beautiful and functional... it will last outside for many years with virtually no upkeep.
